thanks i have a annual check up where i am required to get tested not nervouse at all anymore. web md and a goverment site all seem to have seperate opinions from not likely to low risk to no risk. I think some have a overly conservative approach because of liability and hidden agendas you guys r straight shooters and its nice when allot of doctors are trained to push testing when in no risk situations it is not needed.

You know it isn't a risk without asking us, let alone them.

Yo teak before i waste my money asking one of the doctors on the forum. will they likely give me the same answer as to the raw blister popped open with fluid and the vaginal fluid getting in it while was taking the condom off and hiv losing its ability to infect outside its host. if so i am not gonna post the question but if there opinion could differ i will i know you guys know allot and when i asked the doc about all the other stuff it matched up but i forgot to state that question friend.

Best regards,

You guys should be pushing taking tests even if people say they used a condom if somebody gets a tear they didnt see and infects a **** load of people how would you feel. Always better safe then sorry i learned my lesson i hope you guys learn yours but your pretty full of your self on this forum.   .

WRONG.

Condoms don't tear.  They break catastrophically.  There would be no way to miss a condom failure.  We don't advise people to test in no risk situations, it is a waste of time and money.

We don't have any lessons to learn, we didn't place ourselves at risk for HIV.

And, there is a big difference between one being "full of themself" verus confident.  We're knowledgeable about HIV and know what we're talking about, which is why we're confident in our answers.

If you don't like our answers, find another site.  Insulting the people you asked for help doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?

I think you insisting on condoms is a great idea, until you ffind yourself in a monogamous relationship.

good answer bro i am staying rubbered up for life that **** saved my life and scared the **** out of me man. I am still gonna get tested in three months even though the doc says i am at zero risk. I got some anxiety pills and i am feeling much better. we were broken up for six months man she had a unprotected encounter but was tested and i trust her that much but i am still gonna use condoms every time. You guys should be pushing taking tests even if people say they used a condom if somebody gets a tear they didnt see and infects a **** load of people how would you feel. Always better safe then sorry i learned my lesson i hope you guys learn yours but your pretty full of your self on this forum.

sorry man wasnt trying to insult you but where do you do your research i have not been able to find much 2012 stuff and i have heard hiv can survive for a minute or two outside the body are these researchers just using really potent strands are condoms really a 100% effective if not broken what if you take it off and it stretches and fluid leaks on your penis

You stated that you had condom protected sex. Condoms are regulated medical devices and under go strengent testing and quality control. Latex condoms, when used consistently and correctly, are highly effective in preventing the sexual transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. In addition, consistent and correct use of latex condoms reduces the risk of other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including diseases transmitted by genital secretions, and to a lesser degree, genital ulcer diseases. Condom use may reduce the risk for genital human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and HPV-associated diseases, e.g., genital warts and cervical cancer.

That doctor has no idea about HIV transmission if that's what they told you.Learn about the modes of HIV transmission. If you think we are nuts then go have your test, collect your negative result and then come back and tell us we were right all along. There is no need to insult people on this forum,if you are not happy with the assessment then you have the option to go elsewhere for an opinion.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug abusers
Mother to child

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

You're wasting your time and money getting tested for a zero risk situation. You should be spending that money seeking therapy for your anxiety instead.

what about from fluid on the condom or if some gets off the bottom or on your testicles. I have read you have a 1 in thousand chance even with a condom with a high risk individual with hiv who takes drugs uses needles and is a prostitute i dont know if any of the three met that crateria but it would still be possible to get the virus
