one crazy night

hey all,

i am hoping you can put my mind at ease, i am traveling round asian and while in chiang mai i ended up with a 19 yr old sex worker. we had sex forabout 2-3mins after finishing i pulled out to find the condom had broken. i panicked but she didnt, she said she was clean as i was freaking out at the time and still am she kept saying that she gets checked every month and her last one was 3wks ago. i am uncircumsized and realy worried this make me more at risk. i washed when it happened and again when i got home that night. it doesnt look like i have any cuts on my penis

nPEP is normally reserved for those who have had an exposure to a known hiv + partner.

most ppl will not lie about their status amd contrary to popular belief...most commercial sex workers do NOT have hiv.  they take care of "themselves"...to protect themselves from you, their paying customers.  if is also more difficult for a man to contract hiv from a woman than a woman from a man.

with that being said...the only way to know your status is by testing.  6-8 weeks will give you a very good indication of your status and a test at that time is unlikely to change.  follow up at 3 months.

You can test 3 months post exposure to obtain a conclusive test result.

the condom broke, you need to get tested bro, besides how reliable is a sex worker saying that they are clean.one thing you've got going for you is that the majority of sex workers are screened for stds including hiv ,regularly these days.
