possible symptoms

A month ago i had an unprotected vaginal sex. Now i have a mild temperature in the evenings, around 99 ,and slightly swollen throat. In the morning ,everything is ok, my temperature rises after 8pm and stays 99. It's been like that for 4 days now. Other than that, my lymph glands are painful to touch. I've been stressed about it for the last 4 weeks and it's a flu season,so it could be that. But i NEVER had a flu with symptoms like these,so I'm pretty paranoid by now, can't think about anything else right now.
Can anything be deduced from those symptoms? Could any std be causing this,or a normal flu?

Thx

swollen nodes would not itch you have dry skin put a sensitive lotion on it
also ars symptoms involving nodes would be all through out the body not just in 1 or 2 places

First of all your symptoms seem to be coming from stress and anxiety and maybe guilt  try and not worry it is cold and flu season test 3 months post exposure

By 4 weeks 80-90% who are going to test + will have done so and by 5 weeks the figure rises well above 90%. However, don't rely on these tests. The earlier tests are somewhat accurate but should always be followed by a 3 month.

Yeah, learned from this...from now on I'll have a condom with me even when i go to church. :D

Thank you hopeless4now,I'm a little calmer about it now. Any effect in taking a test now? I know 3 month test is 99,9 % sure one,but what's the accuracy of a 4-5 weeks one?

First, get tested 3 months post exposure and ALWAYS use protection from now on. Second, ignore any symptoms because they mean nothing one way or the other. Also, your symptoms don't particularly suggest HIV. Lymph node swelling is non painful during ARS and the temperature associated is 101+ that lasts 1 to 2 weeks. However, not everyone has symptoms so a test at 3 months should be done. Don't spend all your time worrying though because a one time exposure is unlikely to result in an HIV infection (even if the girl is infected, which she probably is not). Just get the test done (STD panel wouldn't hurt either) and learn from this...you will be ok...sounds like a common cold.
