risk in this condtion

hi there im a medical intern in ophthalmology rotation .
a pt of unknown status was in a fight and he got a truma to his left eye ..u can see mild swelling and few scratches and blood around that area . from the history he gave ..it was 7 hours ago ( before the exam) that he was in a fight .
when i came to examine him on the slit lamp .and he was coming closer to it . i felt somthing wet hit my right eye .
im not sure if its blood . i examined him . then went to a mirror and didnt see a thing .
if it was indeed blood is there a risk of hiv/hepc ?

NO RISK for HIV,

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HCV risk is slim to none

Hope this helps
