risk in laboratory

I went to a laboratory to get some blood tests, and the nurse put the cotton pad
with alcohol surgical disinfection on it, on the counter while she drew blood from me. When
she finished, she took that same pad and put it on my puncture wound. When i was
leaving i saw on the counter some visible dry blood spots. What if some of that blood
got on the pad and than she put it directly on my wound?
I am sure those spots were dry because i was first that morning, so they must have
been from the day before, minimum 16 hours ago.
Is there a chance for infection? Or am i going crazy?
Just to let you know i am pregnat and my hormones are going wild, i would never even think about that before.
Thanks!
