Are you absolutely sure there was not contact in any way?
It is really driving me crazy, could not have the wound been reached by the sweat (and since it was on the upper part of the leg, the sweat was mixed with vaginal fluids)? I have been doing some thorough research as to this, and was completely crazy about the idea that some websites and doctors argue about fingering being a risk or not...
