touching blood

yesterday i touched a homeless persons head with my hand and his head was bleeding.  i noticed straight away as it felt wet. i understand that the virus dies when it leaves the body but if he has a cut and i touch it can it be a route of transmission?. i don't have any noticeable cuts on my hands but around this time of year my hands get really dry. I know it cant be transmitted through objects etc but if i touch the blood directly can it be a risk?. any advice on the matter would be great.

ok thank you for the reply. just for future knowledge, does the virus become inactive as soon as the cut becomes open and starts bleeding ?.

Yes, this is a NO RISK situation, and NO the viral load has no relevance.

feeling anxious about this situation. is the wound on his head exposed to oxygen as soon as its open and will it become inactive immediately?. Would i have to have a major wound on my hand for this to be possible to transmit?. is it a no risk situation from what i have described?. thanks to who ever can help.
