unprotected anal sex

Hi, I'm gay and had unprotected anal sex 3 weeks & 3 days ago, I was the bottom for the first time, I had a rapid oraquick blood test at 2 weeks that came negative and another hiv blood test also at 2 weeks that was negative and STD test that all came out negative, I know it was early and will be testing again using rapid oraquick test in 4,6,8 & 12 week marks. I experienced lots of neck pain in the first and second week, with lost of appetite, tiredness, but no fever yet or soar throats. I know symptoms don't really mean I have HIV and I do feel it was all caused by anxiety/stress over my situation and net surfing info, now I'm a little calm but I do have questions just to help continue and calm myself till I get tested.
1.) I did notice myself getting frequent rash spots on my body and neck that would last 30min-1hour then disappear, until another appears and goes through the same process (I'm thinking anxiety and stress is causing this). But if I did experience a ARS rash would it be noticeably on more than 1 or 2 little spots of my body and would it last longer than 30min-1hr? Also would it be really red looking?
2.) I havent had a fever in a while but if I did have a ARS fever would that totally make me bed ridden? How would you describe this kind of fever?
3.) If i had a swollen lymph node due to ARS, would it hurt real bad, as in turning my neck would hurt and I would have a noticeable bump on my neck?

Hopefully someone can clearly answer these questions for me, I dont wanna surf the net looking to find the answers myself, never know what I'll find in some of those sites...

Thanks hopefully my 6 week doesn't change when I take my 3 month test again. I've been feeling tired, weak and dizzy for the past week and a half on and off with a high pulse rate, but I think it has nothing to due with HIV hopefully.

I understand the level of anxiety, but really, there is no need for you to test that much.  Try to stick with maybe just 6 or 8 weeks, then the 12.    When you get the 6-8 week negative, it will be quite reassuring.

Hang in there.

Thanks nursegirl, I will test up until 3 months, but to keep my confidence up I will test next Monday with an oraquick advance, then again in 6, 8 & 12 weeks, but I think if I can get a neg at 8 weeks i,'ll be super confident with my status, I'll post my results just to let u guys know my status. With all the post I've read it has helped me get through this, since many of the post here are really whacked, nothing like my situation lol

Well, good for you!!!  You are smart to recongize just how real anxiety symptoms are, and how significantly they can impact you.

Take your conclusive test at 3 months post exposure, and consider this one of the most important learning lessons of your life!

Good luck!

Yes thanks teak, and nursegirl  too, it was my first time having sex and got caught up in the moment, learned my lesson and it will never happen again. I was stressed in the first 2 weeks but now I'm fine, still in my thoughts but not controlling me, since I know its was mostly caused by my anxiety, oncee I realized it, I don't have neck pains or night seats anymore, plus I gained the weight I lost from 2 weeks of stress, so far back to normal, plus Thursday will be the start of the 5th week for me so that means I'll make it past the 2-4 week of ars happening that's a good sign :-)

No, it would not come and go...but again, like you were told, you CANNOT judge your status based on symptoms.

Test at the appropriate time to find out your status.

From here on out, you MUST insist on condoms for each and every anal encounter, if you don't, HIV will likely be in your future, as male/male unprotected anal sex is one of the highest risk activities....and bottom being higher than top.

I know you're stressed and I'm not trying to scare you, just being 100% honest...it's no game to play...you will lose at some point.

Hi guys something to ask if u don't mind, just wondering if I did have a ars rash would it last longer than 30mins or an hour? It doesn't come and go right? Only asking because I seem to notice little rash spot about 1 or two on my chest that would disappear 30 min or so, I don't want to search online, right now I'm fine and calm but just wondering?

I know hundreds of people that have had ARS and  it is never one symptom, flu symptoms are not just one symptom.

It depends on the person and their immune response.

If you have ARS symptoms there will be a whole host of symptoms not just a fever.

Well teak thanks but I already know that from reading the many post here, all I want to know is how these symptoms would feel if I actually did experience them?

Symptoms or lack of will never tell you your status. Your 3 month post exposure test will be conclusive. ARS if one has it comes on 2-4 weeks post exposure and lasts 1-2 weeks.
