Neuromonics device for tinnitus?

I've had tinnitus 24/7 for the last 2 years.  My ENT has ruled out wax, tumors, and meds.  She did find a slight SNHL in the upper ranges in the left that's probably age-related.  She mentioned trying a neuromonic device if the tinnitus doesn't get any better.

Has anyone had any experience with this device?

Thanks

i've had tinnitus for little more than two years now. but haven't been to any doctor. also i've noticed my right ear acts weird when loud sound comes to it.
i can hear tinnitus even in noisy environment.

i started to think i need some device to end these sounds in my ear.

Thanks for the update.  I hadn't seen anything about cost in my reading and didn't realize the device was so expensive.  Fortunately, I still have some time to research before I see the ENT so I'll keep reading.

I surely don't want to to anything that will make the tinnitus worse!

As you suggested I searched for neuromononic devise and unfortunatey the first websit i got is about oasis devise. user has given  full feed back telling us that devise has intensified his tinitus. It costs about $4000.00 .you may do further research before you act.

I don't know a whole lot about it.  My ENT suggested it as a possibility and I'm researching before my next appt. with her.  Here's what I know....

It is a device that fits in the sort of like a hearing aid.  It uses a masking noise to retrain the brain so that you don't hear the tinnitus noise.  Search "neuromonics device for tinnitus" on the internet.  There are lots web sites that can explain how this works way better than I can.

I asked this question on the expert forum and the doctor there said he has used with patients successfully.

If I try this (next appt isn't until April) I'll let you know how it works.
