Temporary Loss of Sight and Ear Ringing, What's Happening?

So, I'm 15. Born July 19, 2002. Living in South Dearborn, Indiana all my life. I have to wear glasses/contacts prescribed at -3.25. Here's my issue: I sometimes get a ringing in my ears, that to me sounded like a loud siren. It's almost always was in my left ear. Sometimes, it hurts and i can't stand or walk. Other times, it's like an annoying fly that won't get off you. It would only last for a few seconds. Also, I would be walking in my school, or would be sitting at the dinner table, or be getting up, and I would lose my sight. Everything goes black, and I have a light headache, it's generally never happened longer than 10 seconds. Once in a while, when I would lose my sight, not a second later the ringing would come, and again, disappears after a maximum of 10 seconds. I brought this up with my doctor, and he told me that it might be because of something between the end of my jaw, and my ear, but he didn't really seem to know what it was. anyone able to answer for me?
