I tried the link and I keep getting, no such file. Hmm.
I actually do know a lot of hx/a symptoms, having been warned since I was a kid, because of the rh.hx.dx. And, I have had this gripping-pain in the past. It was when my thyroid was encompassed with a nodule, which had grown into my chest and up to my jaw. Since having the left-thyroid removed (about 8 years ago) that stopped.
but, now, it IS back.
And, the inability to breathe when sleeping was the MOST scary symptom, for me! Guess I'll do some more investigation. I was so worried that I didn't even go to sleep last night, until about 8 this morning, when i had a two-hour nap. I know; crazy. -could've gone to the doc and had this cleared up, to be sure! Its just been SO many docs, hospitalisations, and surgeries in the past few years, I have a real phobia about that!
Thanks for trying, though!
Anne
I had major jaw-surgery a couple of months ago (5th in 2 years) to replace my tmjoints. Last year, I had a picc line inserted affter one joint-failure due to infections, The picc line was removed after the infections subsided, about 4 months later,
Two days ago, I had a gripping pain in my chest, neck, jaw.. and was lightheaded. I calmed my breathing and it subsided. Last night, I awoke; gasping/gulping for breath! I felt lke I was drowning, and once I was fully awake and caught my breath, I was okay.
I am a 51 yr old female, thin, but have been in bed a lot, lately, due to the pain from surgeries. I did have rheumatic heart disease as a child of nine. So, my question is this: does this sound like a heart-attack, or something completely different? (sorry, after all of the surgeries and other things I have been through, I hate doctors visits AND, especially, hospitals,) Could it be CHF?
You don't necessarily know if/when you are having a heart attack. If there is any chance, or if you are uncertain, call 911.
