19 years old, chest pain, high heart rate

A few months ago I tried to donate blood and was unable to because my pulse was too high, 104 I think. I went back the next day, and it was 100, the cut-off for donating. I later forgot, but recently I have really noticed it. I check my pulse all the time and it is usually above 90 or around 100. Yesterday, I started having chest pain. Not a lot, I could just feel something. Today it is a little worse. It doesn't really hurt, it just feels like a tightness or pressure. I am female, about 200 pounds, not very active other than walking to class. I am only 19. Aren't I too young to be experiencing this?

No you're not.  Considering your weight and symptoms, you need to see a doctor to rule out heart problems.  You are having symptoms indicative of this.

A normal heart rate for a woman is actually 82, not 72 like in a man, so a pulse rate of 90 is really not too much to worry about. A heart rate of 90-100 should not be giving you chest pains; this is probably due more to muscle issues. There are only a few things that will cause true heart related chest pain in a young person: a few forms of Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) which, at your age, would have already been discovered, CAD or Coronary Artery Disease which usually develops in the 40's and something called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy where the walls of the heart are so thick that they have outstripped the blood supply to the heart. Chest pain is caused by a lack of blood supply to the heart. That condition is EXTREMELY rare. The fact that you are now starting to take your pulse, you are probably becoming overly concerned about it and it is giving you symptoms that you relate to heart disease. See a doctor, anyway, just to be sure nothing is going on and go from there.
