Hello.
I am a 21 year old male who has recently had feelings of pressure around the chest area for almost a week. The pressure is mostly near the sternum. I've read some of the warning signs for heart disease and heart attacks and I am a little worried about what it could be.
It started a day after I had a couple burgers from McDonalds. I left it alone thinking it would go away the next day. The night after, I decided to go to an emergency room after realizing it hadn't gone away. The doctors there ran an ECG on me, asked a few questions, and did an X-ray, but said that they couldn't find anything wrong.
Just recently, I have had trouble sleeping. I wake up almost every hour at night and I wake up still tired. Even napping doesn't seem to make the fatigue go away.
I don't smoke, drink, or do any kinds of recreational drugs. I had been running daily for a few months before this happened, but stopped due to school taking up all the available time. Other than that, I don't really exercise as much. My family also has a history of high blood pressure.
I was hoping that someone would be able to shed a little light on this. Any suggestion that would help shed light on this whole situation would do a great amount of help.
Thanks,
Michael
