Good. I do have to mention something that puts a smile on my face: when I was in high school, like most, I had a friend that I hung around with all the time. One of the teachers always called us fricknfrack! Brought back some good memories! :)
:) I thank you...from the heart. I will see the cardiologist.
Hello again. You have asked about whether or not you could be having a form of Broken Heart Syndrome which is the more common name for Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy. This form of cardiomyopathy is a very accute form of cardiomyopathy which means, it hits as soon as there is a shock to the system such as an unexpected death of a loved one. The heart walls thin out and blood flow is diminished. This form of cardiomyopathy only lasts for about a week after a shock and is self resolving. Based on what you have written to me, I don't think that is the problem you are facing. See the cardiologist. Take care
I think your PA is covering her butt! Why are you not seeing a cardiologist about this? If your angina is caused by blocked arteries you are a heart attack waiting to happen. Get in to see a cardiologist.
Stress causes your Angina only indirectly. Stress causes inflammation in your arteries which in turn results in accumulation of debris plugging them up. Then you'll wind up with the problem the other posters addressed.
Aspirin is recommended to reduce the tendency of the platelets to stick to the walls of the coronary vessels/or to themselves thereby reducing the incidence of clots. A minimal dose/day 81mg is sufficient.
You suffer angina because there is not enough blood reaching your heart muscle.
Nitro will dilate your arteries allowing more blood flow.
Aspirin will make your blood less dense allowing it to fluid better.
