Calcium deposits

After a series of xrays for my arthritis, I was informed that there were several calcium deposits
in the area of my heart.  The doctor did not seem to think anything of this.  What are the implications of this finding.
Is it something to worry about.  Incidentally I have been diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism recently.

There may be several reasons for calcium deposits.  One possibility is Scleroderma.  Ask your doctor about Scleroderma.  Which can cause calcium deposits in the skin, lungs and heart.
