Concerned about come and go symptoms

Hello,
I'm 32 year old woman and mother of 3. My family has a history of heart disease, primarily my father has a valve that doesn't work properly. I don't know what it is called but it is a genetic thing.

This past week I've had some very concerning symptoms but they come and go. I don't have a lot of money to see a doctor so I wanted to get an opinion on if this is something concerning enough to see the doctor or not.

The first time it happened was in the morning on Monday, March 12 while getting ready for work. First in the morning I tripped and fell and hit my upper back. An hour later I started having intense pain. It started in my upper abdomen but it shot up into my chest. It felt like my whole chest was being squeezed all the way around to my back. I couldn't breath. It was intensely painful, I'd say level 9 pain on the pain scale. It lasted several minutes. When it went away I was extremely dizzy and pale. That passed after several more minutes. That day I called my doctor and asked for an opinion. He said maybe it was because I fell back.

Now early this morning. at about 3:30 a.m., I woke up having the exact same symptoms. When it passed I was very cold and shivering. I had a few repeat smaller instances after it happened, not as painful but that squeezing sensation of my whole chest. IT starts in my abdomen and goes up (leaving my abdomen.) It doesn't feel like heartburn or indigestion, more like being punched in the stomach.

Today I feel somewhat weak

I should also say at the end of December I had a c-section, it was my second c-section. I'm not on any medication or anything at this time. I normally have low blood pressure.

I just don't know if these symptoms sound like a heart attack. It is very frightening and my doctor is closed today. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you

Thank you, that's both relieving and worrying all at the same time.

No one can diagnose via the Internet. Based on what you have described, I do NOT think you had suffered a heart attack.  However, your symptoms are very concerning and I am worried about an arrhythmia.  You should see your doctor and get an EKG and echocardiogram, then have a event monitor, which would record your heart rhythm when you are having symptoms.  At least some of these events seem very severe and I recommend going to the emergency room next time it occurs. Good Luck!
