Confused

Syd
I will apologize in advance for the length of this question. I will try to keep it brief.  I am a 40-year-old female who has for the past 4 years experiencing a lot of chest pain and rapid heart rate.  My last stress test was a week ago and the cardiologist is still of the opinion that it is not coming from my heart.  I am on 100 mgs of atenolol, I made it to the start of stage 3 of my test and he pulled me off.  My heart rate begain at 110 when hooked up to the machine and escalated to 159 when he pulled me off.  During such time my arms begin to lose strength and start to go numb feeling on me, the more i exercised the more my muscles begin to give out.  He seems to think it may be some type of muscle disease after observing me on the treadmill.  Every time they increase my atenolol by 25 mgs it seems to help my exhuastion rate and keep my heart at a controlable level, but only for a few months, then it goes whacky again.  Sometimes it gets up to 230, 240 just climbing the stairs.  And I get severe chest tightening in my chest.  told to use the nitro if it helps, I have only used it twcie and it seemed to help relieve the pressure in my chest.  Last month I went through a three week episode where the minute I put pressure on my feet my legs contracted and I was in constant spasms and it was very, very difficult to walk on my feet, I needed to use a cane for most of January.  My gp figured it could be medication induced or my WBC was in the lowe 20,000's so he thought may be a virus.  It went away for almost two weeks and yesterday it has once again come back.  I am frightened it will get to the full-blown stage like last month.  I have had so many diagnosis the last 3 weeks my head is spinnig, MS, pinched nerve,  drug interaction, heart disease, viral infection, my head is spinning and don't know where to turn.  I was told it is better now and that's all that matters.  But now seems to be starting all over again.  Any additional help you could offer would be of great value to me. These are the drugs I am currently taking 100 mgs of atenolol, 10 mgs of prednisone, biweekly b-12 injections for deficiency, 1000 mgs of caclicum 2 tablets of slow K 8MEq of potassium, 40 mgs of losec and 20 mgs of prozac.  I am a non smoker and weigh 137 pounds.  In the last month my urine output has increased tremendously. I kept track two morning in a row and it was 24 and 27 times respectively in a 6 hour span with a heavy output.  I have no idea whether this is signifcant or not.  Thank you for taking the time to read my material and I guess my main question to you would be from this information does it sound at all like it can be heart related or am I safe to put that one behind me.

I wish you could stop replies from losers such as "bobi" - these replies just waste everybody's time.  People who send such replies must be empty-headed; they can't even spell simple words.

Dear Syd,

If I were seeing you at the Clinic I would first review all your tests and their results.  If I was not happy that what you have had done was adequate I would probably order a persantine thallium stress test and a loop recorder.  If both these tests were negative I could say with a good degree of confidence that your problems are not heart related.  The increased urine output would make me worried about the possibility of diabetes.
