Dripping sound in my Chest

Last night I was laying in bed and I heard a sound that sounded like a slow dripping water faucet. It would make that sound about every 5 seconds. I have noticed that my heart has an irregular beat most of the time. But I could hear this clearly from outside my body and anyone who may have been around me would have been able to hear it. I held my breath and it kept up the way it was going steadily. It only lasted until I stood up to go to the computer to look something like that up. When I layed back down it didn't happen again. What is going on? Should I be worried?
