Dry Mouth

I was dx w/CHF in 2014 after my first heart attack. Since then I've had 3 more. I am now stage IV & my EF almost a yr ago was 15 & I was also told at that time that I developed Afib too. So currently, I am bed bound & I can't hold anything down, not even water which really sucks bcuz my mouth gets so dry, that makes me nauseous which in turn makes me dry heave & throw up bile & lately some blood but that's probably from the dry heaving. But the most annoying thing is the dry mouth! I don't even know why it is I suspect it's low potassium, not medications like diuretics bcuz I stopped taking them also about a year ago. Does anyone have any ideas? At first I thought that I may have caught a 24hr bug but now it's been about 196hr bug & I can't take this much longer, its torture!

I believe you mentioned that you are in hospice care?  If that is the case, you must ask your nurse for help!

yes u r correct but all they do is try to make me comfortable which is very appreciated but these past 2 weeks have been the worst! things I have never even considered happening happening . But hospice doesnt test or treat. im just wondering whats going on i think potassium
Can you ask to see a doctor?  You would need a prescription anyhow for a real potassium supplement.
