Echo stress test results worth second opinion?

My stress echo last month showed on hypertrophy but that it was unchanged from six months ago, which my doctor said should have improved with better BP control. But what he didn't discuss were the other results listed which were mitral valve regurgitation, tricuspid valve disorder, diastolic dysfunction, RBBB, and IVCD. Are these of any significance?

All depends on the severity of the mitral and tricuspid valve disease.

Those results could show the early indications of heart failure though. So no they aren't good results.

All of those things are connected to each other, and are just different symptoms of the same disease process.. Similar to how the common cold can come with a runny nose, a cough and a sore throat.

The good news is medicine is advanced to the point that further deterioration is a slow process and can be held off pretty effectively. You should certainly take the results seriously and take a hard look at life and follow your doctors instructions very carefully.

This is the type of thing that can become a problem for you 10 years from now or 1 year from now depending on how well you and your doctor work as a team to manage it.
