Enlarged Aortic Root Query

Is there any way you can help an enlarged aortic root decrease in size?

The conventional answer is no, that it needs to be monitored, and if it ever gets large enough to pose a substantial risk to your health, then you will need surgical intervention.  An enlarged aorta tends to slowly get larger over time.  Sometimes it will stay the same for a long time, which is good.  Sometimes it will enlarge quickly, and that is a strong sign that something needs to be done about it.  But you only know what is happening if you have it checked periodically.
