Healthy survival with heart medications

It is more than an year since the onset of a serious heart attack damaging the anterior wall.(AWMI).With regular check ups withe the cardiac physician,strict adherence to intake of medicines,through changes in life style,sufficient exercises I am combating themuch dreaded cardiac condition which would otherwise have posed serious threats to my life.My EF is just 31% .I am pulling on with no troubling symptoms of the disease. Can I hope to live longer in this way?

There is no accurate method to judge one's life span other than individuals with a weak heart can have a system that compensates well and not have any symptoms and lead an almost normal life.  

For damaged heart cells there appears to be some success with stem cell therapy
