Heart Beats Hard But Not Fast

Hello, I'm a 24 year old male, fairly active as I lift weights 3-5 days a week. I do consume caffeine in the form of coffee and pop, 1 or 2 servings a day.In 2002-2003 I was diagnosed with Moderate Mitral Valve Prolapse.

Like I said in the description, my heart will beat hard enough that I can feel it at rest, standing up, etc just for no reason. My heart rate isn't very high at these times, it just beats hard enough to where it is tangible.

Now I have been to my doctor for an evaluation of my heart and he says that since last time my valve was checked, the prolapse could be downgraded from moderate to mild along with several other things that where good. He also pointed out that my ejection fraction was 65 which he said was excellent. Could this be why I can feel it beating so hard?? Or do I have a problem?? If there are any doctors out there that could help me, I'd appreciate it. Thank you!!

Just as a side note, I also deal with a significant amount of anxiety, particularly health anxiety so naturally this bothers me worse than it would someone in a less anxious state of mind. Could this be a factor in any case??
