Chest pains and facial pain/jaw pain

I just had a occurrence of bad/deep chest pain (middle of my chest) and pain in my lower jaw.  This has happened a couple time before and not sure what this is. I did have a sandwich at lunch and this occurred about an hour after this, so not sure if it is heartburn or something-or if it is more serious than this.  the pain is very bad that I feel like I am going to pass out sometimes.  After this wears off, I feel like I have run a marathon - my heart is beating very fast during these pains and I try to do what I know or have read to help alleviate the pain as if I am having a heart attack. (drink water, take an aspirin and I cough several times trying to release the pressure .  What , if anything should I do, I am concerned about this and I always feel exhausted and fatigued?

I just had this happen to me 15 minutes ago. I called my APRN and she suggested that I take a Double Dose of a Liquid Anti-Acid / Anti-Gas A.S.A.P. because I have Heart Disease and I take Pain Meds for Chronic Pain Management.  Within 10 Minutes, My symptoms have disappeared and I feel so much better.  I won't forget this anytime soon. An hour is rather a long time for the heart to decide to have an attack after eating. Generally it would happen within 15 minutes of eating. As already stated, it is worth having your vital signs checked but maybe it would be worth eating something before you go to your emergency. I say this because if you go there with no discomfort, you can bet your bottom dollar nothing will be detected. On arrival, they should give you a nitrate pill or spray, and if this relieves the symptoms almost immediately then they will look at other more important tests. They should take a blood test 12 hours after your pain has started to check your trop levels. I do have a question tho, does this ONLY occur if you eat something or does it happen if you exercise?
If you go for a 20-30 minutes brisk walk and notice no symptoms, then you eat something and get the pains, I would almost certainly say it's stomach related. Also, how long do the pains last?

You should get checked out! It could be one of several things, but you won't know until they do an EKG, some blood work, and possibly an Echo. Hopefully it's nothing serious, but radiating chest pain with jaw pain CAN be a heart attack. Good luck!
