Is it heart disease or something entirely different?

Hello everyone.
I'm concerned over something that happened to me today. I was shoveling snow with a scoop.(so no lifting involved) I was add it for only 20-30 mins then I was done. I made sure to take my time and be careful. For some reason, when I came in I was beat! Like I had gone to the gym for hours! I felt nauseous, weak and just off. No chest pressure of any sort. But even an hour after, I still feel off. Sick like. My wife gave me an juice box (orange) Within a few mins(10-15) I felt 70% better!  But as we speak I'm still a bit off balanced and weak. But much better then when I first came in. This has been the case at random when I shovel or do an activity of equal endurance.

I'm 39, 190-195 lbs and 5.9'. I quit smoking at the age of 26 and I don't really drink much at all. My diet is average. I take no prescriptions. I suffered from Anxiety from ages 24-about 30 when I came off meds and it was better(mentally controllable without need of meds).
I do sit a lot on the pc but I walk almost daily.

Any idea if it sound like I'm developing heart disease? My DR can't seem to find anything for the moment. They say that what ever it is, it hasn't shown it's evidence yet.   o.O ?  So whatever is happening to me is like a sleeping giant that stirs now and then?

Hi there. you should get it investigated, just in case. I wonder a few things? Had you eaten anytime recently prior to you doing your snow moving exertions ?  Is it possible you were de hydrated? I ask as you say you had felt a lot better following the drink you had. This leads me to the question of blood sugar levels? It may be worthwhile having a blood sugar level test when you are getting checked out. Hope this helps, keep us posted

You say that at this point, your doctor cannot find any cause for your symptoms.

What sorts of tests have been done?  Blood work? Cardiac stress test?

Shoveling snow is a very energy-consuming activity, and very exhausting for persons that are not used to it. It seems like you overdone it a little.

The human body has several energy systems. It sounds to me like you just exhausted at least one of them (the one that anaerobic delivers energy for short but powerful bursts of energy). That makes you feel very weak till it is charged again.
Don't start thinking of sleeping giants too quickly.
