I've been having atypical symptoms for cardiac issues. I am 47, smoker, high stress. I just saw a new physician regarding my symptoms (jaw pain, variable chest pains, left shoulder pain, back pain w/ palpitations, spikes in BP) Now, today I had a EKG, several labs: CBC, CMP, TSHR, D-PRIMER, TRIPONIN I, VIT D LEVELS, ESR, CRP, LIPID PANEL ………….. Except for "mild" anemia, my tests were ALL good.
So, after smoking only half a cigarette, I immediately got left side jaw pain. For the heck of it, [no anxiety, just curiousity] I took my BP and it was very high for me 146/98. I never usually go over 137/88 after smoking.
So, of course, the anxiety kicked in.
But can the labs be wrong? Can I still be having warning signs of a cardiac event?
