Just curious...

I am a 45 yr old white male.   I am 244 lbs, with slightly elevated cholesterol.   Blood pressure is ok.  I am taking 10mg lipitor.
Should I be taking a daily 81mg aspirin?   I asked my doctor and she just kind of shrugged.   I just wonder if there are enough benefits for me to outweigh the risks.

I take Lipitor to control cholesterol and it does a great job. I think aspirin controls platelets which can also lead to circulation problems. Why not control weight instead. I’m sure the doctor would support that. Portion size for a start.

I am losing weight, was just wondering if I needed to be taking the aspirin every day.
