Lipitor question

Hi all,
My father had a triple by pass surgery about 18 months ago, and has been taking Lipitor, Perondopril and Atenolol. He's been getting abnormal hair growth on one side of his leg and back and chest since he's been on Lipitor, and Perondopril. I googled to see what I could find, and found this site saying that Lipitor can cause abnormal hair growth. http://www****.com/ds/lipitor/hair%20growth%20abnormal/
My question is, has anyone else taking Lipitor experience this? How do you stop this 'hair growth' ?
Is there an alternative to Lipitor?

Thank you!

Lipitor (atorvastatin) is a high-intensity statin and is prescribed to lower cholesterol levels in the blood.
There are alternatives for Lipitor that may not show this side-effect. (i.e. rosuvastatin=Crestor)
My advice is to contact the cardiologist ask ask him/her if it is possible to switch to an alternative.
