I am a 26 year old female. I have been having issues with anxiety/panic attacks for the past 3 years. I have probably been to the emergency room at least 3-6 times a year. It’s bad :(. I have had a holter monitor in the past but I never went to get my results so I assumed if it was terrible news they would call me. But now this past summer my anxiety has been through the roof. For a week straight I have had panic attacks or at least what seems to be panic attacks every single day.
I’m starting to think my panic has something to do with heat? Does anyone else feel that way?
Anyway I was in so much distress I went to a cardiologist and once again did a holter monitor test, stress test, and echo.
Everything was fine expect the halter monitor where they determined I have SVT.
They didn’t give me any real specifics really because now I realize there are different types of SVT.
I was given 10mg of propanalol and recommend I get the ablation procedure.
I was worried at first but not so much if, from what I’ve seen on here, the procedure is helpful.
I haven’t taken the medicine because I prefer a more natural approach but has anyone ever used propanlol for their SVT? Please tell me your experience.
I’ve heard something about if you stop taking it cold turkey it can have some bad effects.
Also, does anyone think their SVT and anixety is related? I am dizzy/light headed often but my heart rate lately hasn’t gone very high, maybe 150-160bpm but that’s if I’m moving around, etc.
idk. I just wanted to express everything that was going on with me. Reading other people’s experiences has been really enlightening.
This has though unfortunately really effected my way of life. I cry all the time, I have a loss in appetite on occasion, being that it is hot outside it is hard for me to go places, I can’t even ride in a car without feeling like I’m going to pass out, which is my greatest fear, other than dying. I haven’t been to work in two weeks because of all the appointments and test. I’ve even scheduled counseling.
