Right vein by neck hurts?

Hello, whenever I breathe in hard or deep, or laugh even I feel some soreness by some veins on the right side of the neck. Two days ago I did go drinking and I did some throwing up after wards. Could this have played a role or maybe there is something more serious going on. The pain only seems to be there when doing some straining like breathing in hard or laughing. There is no pain when I turn my neck back and forth which makes me think maybe it's not a strain....

thanks

I went to the doctor and he says that my blood pressure is 120/80. The EKG looked good and thought my neck vein issue was some strain or pull. He did say that my heart was beating a little fats with palpitations. What could this mean? Anxiety or maybe there is an issue?

He did send for an echo and blood tets for thyroid functioning.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, like your doctor mentioned it could be a muscle pull or strain. It may not be related to the heart, if with touching you are getting pain it is likely to be an inflammation of the skin, subcutaneous tissue or the trachea. This can happen with injury, repetitive activity or an infection of the skin. It can also be an enlarged lymph node or an inflammation of the thyroid gland. If it persists discuss these options with your doctor. In the meantime for pain relief you can use OTC  tylenol (acetaminophen). Regards.
