Severe constipation

hi sir i wana ask one thing that my elder brother has severe constipation.he also had pyuria in the p[ast days but now he feels soe varicosity on anal opening
can u recommmend some medication please

I'm no clear about your question but now you're asking questions for which I have no answer. I don't have much experience with bowel problems. Perhaps you could try posting over on the "gastroenterology" board or the "irritable bowel syndrome" board. I bet the IBS folks have had a lot of experience with constipation and how to deal with it. As I said before, this is really a place for heart patients. Not to brush you off but I just don't know much about the topic. Good luck.

ok.tell me why this refles is dead.during this process sometimes urine also stops to come out.

I don't have much experience with stool softeners so can't imagine what the side effects might be. Last year I had abdominal surgery which caused things to slow down. I was given some Senna tablets and they worked quite well.

This is the heartboard. Not quite the place for bowel problems. There is a board for that if you check under forums at the top of the page.

With that said, there are medications for constipation (stool softeners) but a healthy diet with plenty of natural fiber and more fluid intake (no caffeine) usually works as well. As for the "varicosity", there are hemorrhoid medications on the market as well to reduce inflammation and discomfort.
