Sudden left arm pain

A few days back, I woke up suddenly from sleep and found my left arm numb. For some reason I jerked it and it hurt like hell. The pain reminded for a few minutes close to the elbow and went away. I also felt some shortness of breath for a few seconds. Could it be related to a heart problem?

Yes, it could be. You need to see a cardiologist asap.

If you ever feel this again go straight to the emergency room.
