valve surgery is very straightforward these days. They use either mechanical or organic
replacement valves, usually made from pig tissue. Surgeons spend time to ensure the
valve is nice and symetrical to cause a good seal. If cardiologists feel he has a problem
with a leaky valve, then a replacement will make a big difference. Valves ensure the
blood flows correctly around the body and if valves misfuntion, then the blood doesn't
do its job such as getting oxygen to all parts of the body in the right volume.
This type of surgery is actualy quite safe because all the best equipment to deal with
emergencies is on standby next to the surgeon. Equipment such as a bypass machine.
