What do stress test results mean?

Had a electrocardiograph exercise stress test without imaging because I was experiencing excess sweating during exercising.  Results said, ECG was abnormal mild ischemia, 1-1.5MM upsloping ST depression.  I made an appointment with a cardiologist but am worried sick waiting to see him.  An feedback on how bad this is would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Upsloping ST depression can mean ischemia (not enough oxygen rich blood is fed to the heart via the coronary arteries).

Normally the stress test/ECG is called positive for ischemia if the depression is at least 1.5mm and there is a slow upsloping ST segment.

Although the stress test results are not always completely reliable, the conclusion "mild ischemia" could be right.

Your cardiologist will probably want to do further testing to find out if the ischemia is really present and what causes it.

Why did you have the test?
Do you (frequently) experience chest discomfort?
