Hi, I’m a 37 year old woman who has been diagnosed with mod mitral valve regurgitation, mod aortic valve regurgitation, mild tricuspid valve regurgitation and a mildly dilated left atrium. My cardiologist does not have me on any meds and just wants to monitor me with echocardiograms every year. For the past few weeks I’ve been having pinching pains in my heart and sometimes it even goes a bit down my left arm. I feel like I’m not getting enough oxygen when I breath, I’m so tired all the time and I feel like I’m having an anxiety attack. I have an appointment with a geneticist on the 24th because my doctor suspects I have a rare genetic disorder called Loeys Dietz syndrome because of my heart problems along with others including bifid uvula. I just had an echocardiogram in February, do you think I should ask my cardiologist for another one now since my symptoms are happening more often? I have issues everyday now for the past few weeks. It’s very scary.
