What could possibly going on ? Chest pain, Shortness of breath, ETC

As my ID indicates, I am at wits end with researching my Husband's condition.  I pray that a fresh pair of eyes sees this post and can offer us some insight.

Background:

My Husband, African-American, 28, was admitted to the hospital in March 2007 for the first time with Heart flutters and Chest pain.  He had many tests:  EP study, EKGAtrioventricular block, ekg tracings
Ecgs, Exercise stress test, many chest x-rays,  2 Stress Echo test.  halter monitor, CT scan,  Everything "normal"   Diagnosis: Anxiety/ High blood pressure/ Hyperthyroidsm    Treatment: metoprolol 25 mg twice a day,  Norvasc "amlodipine" 10mg daily, Tapozole 15mg daily  .

Symptoms:

He sporadically has "episodes" where he gets VERY dizzy, has chest pain daily  (described as "squeezing/stabbing pains"), varying pulse, Heart palpitations/Flutters, extreme shortness of breath, left arm pain (not always), nausea, irritable, restlessness

NOTE:  This does not seem to be stress related.  Also, this happens when sitting, standing and lying down.

This illness has brought us to the Emergency Room numerous amount of times (atleast 30 times in the past 3 years) in fear of something is wrong at the time. Again no answers, we have gotten answers such as Anxiety, Angina, Maybe Arrhythmias (but didn't catch it on the monitor) and even none at all just to follow up with his doctor.

Also, he has been to 3 different Cardiologist in the past year all indicating that it's not his heart. Although, his current cardiologist suggest maybe it's the side effects of the medication he's been taking Metoprolol.  Starting to give up on answers but it's an every day thing. We cant even enjoy our lives outside of this, and with a baby on the way we need something to help his condition. Does anyone else have any of these problems and don't know why? Please anything will help.

I feel for both of you. I'm not a fan of medications, I don't tolerate the side effects very well. Seems odd that a 28 year old would be on 3 meds. I think you are on the right track in questioning that. If he has high Blood pressure he needs a nice BP med to keep that under control.

I suffered from anxiety and panic attacks starting at 30, and all the docs said is was in my head. I didn't believe them and now I am 53 and finally they found the issue. Arrythmias. Had an ablation yesterday, so far so good !

All I cna say is evey time they presribed something, the side effects were over the top for me. Everyone is different so what was horrible for me may be perfect for someone else. Question the meds, under a DOCTORS CARE OF COURSE.

Have you gone for Angiography and Echocardiography. Most of the symptoms you told indicating heart disease. What to talk about the doctors they are the same in every corner of the world and patients have lot of complaints against them every where. It is general consensus that once the disease comes it never leaves I don't know what are the Doctors for and what is all about the world's 2nd biggest medicine manufacturing industry. Why Doctors themselves are mostly out of any disease. They would always blame the patient and always try to shift the burden of incorrect diagnosis on the patients. I have seen so many cases where patients of chronic heart diseases were asked as if they had no heart disease and they died with heart attack. Use your own wisdom instead of leaving everything to Doctors. We have to toe them in right direction. You may opt to go for herbal, chinese, homeopathic treatment. Ask your hubby to try antianxiety treatment while taking heart medicines. Try to change the environmental conditions and get rid of social irritants. thanks.....javed from Pakistan "letme_winyou***@****
