carotid artery stenosi

I am 68 years old.  Recently I had a CV VAS CAROTID BILATERAL test
How concern should I be? can this condition be reverse or prevent from getting  worse?

Conclusions of the test

< 50% right internal carotid artery stenosis. < 50% left internal carotid artery stenosis. Antegrade flow
noted in the vertebral arteries. There is heterogeneous, irregular atherosclerotic plaque noted in bilateral
internal carotid arteries.

RIGHT VELOCITIES LEFT VELOCITIES
Proximal CCA = 106/26 cm/sec. Proximal CCA = 94/31 cm/sec.
Distal CCA = 90/33 cm/sec. Distal CCA = 90/29 cm/sec.
Proximal ECA = 103 cm/sec. Proximal ECA = 90 cm/sec.
Proximal ICA = 73/22 cm/sec. Proximal ICA = 49/19 cm/sec.
Mid ICA = 77/32 cm/sec. Mid ICA = 59/23 cm/sec.
Distal ICA = 60/25 cm/sec. Distal ICA = 63/30 cm/sec.
Right ICA/CCA ratio = 0.86. Left ICA/CCA ratio = 0.66.
Right Vertebral = 53/14 cm/sec. Left Vertebral = 47/15 cm/sec.
RIGHT EXTRACRANIAL
There is heterogeneous, irregular atherosclerotic plaque noted in the right bifurcation. There is
heterogeneous, irregular atherosclerotic plaque noted in the right internal carotid artery.
LEFT EXTRACRANIAL
There is heterogeneous, irregular atherosclerotic plaque noted in the left bifurcation. There is
heterogeneous, irregular atherosclerotic plaque noted in the left internal carotid artery.
