carotid blockage

my husband today was diagnosed with 90 % blockage in the carotid artery.  He is asymtomatic but as I am a nurse I am very concerned.  What do you suggest a neurosugury follow up or a vascular followup

Is stenting recommending for 90% carotid blockage in patient that has already undergone radical neck surgery due to cancer. The vascular surgeon doesn't want to do surgery, he is looking into stenting. Is this recommending with that high of a blockage?

We are in Naples Florida and will be flying into Cape cod.  Can anyone recommend a vascular surgeon board certified with hign volume experience in Naples or on Cape Cod.  What is the time line after having a 90% blockage to get the surgery done???

It differs from facility to facility, but in all facilities a vascular surgeon should be familiar with the management. We created the operation for carotid blockage, carotid endarterectomy. Regardless of who you see,make sure that they do high volume of whatever treatment is recommended. thats the most important point
