Really panicking here please help / advise

Ok hi all, first post and excuse my waffling I've been freaking out regarding heart health for years. I recently had a few A&E visits due to fast heart rate and anxiety, turned out to be sinus tachycardia no warnings for anything else. All the specialists at hospital told me it was ok and I was low risk as my cholesterol is only 5.9 and I'm only 33 years old with a relatively normal BP...

havng anxiety however this didnt ease my worries, so took my concerns to GP, he assessed my brachial radial index... normal, my resting and recovery pulse... normal.

Happy as a pig in **** I went on my way only to return to GP for a final reassurance, I asked him to perform an ECG as I had had one 3 years back that said "POSSIBLE" past infarction (t line / t wave something) and that had played on my mind ever since. Dr agreed to retest but informed me the automatic diagnosis machines are quiet often wrong and he was sure my heart health was good. Had the ECG and despite more recent hospital ones being all good (except for sinus tachy) this one again showed "Possible peri-infarction caused by heart block" Dr printed a report as he wanted to see the heart trace for himself and he said "I cant see what this thing is picking up everything looks normal to me, if someone showed me this and hadnt told me the system generated diagnosis I'd have said this was a normal ECG" I began freaking out in GP room, said 'what if you're wrong' and 'can i get a second opinion' he tried to reassure me further by saying my last 3 visits to A&E all with ECG's had no issues however to alleviate my concerns he'd get a cardiologist to look at the trace which he still fealt was normal.

My worry is, should I trust the machine, or my GP's and other medical professionals that have told me im ok. This anxiety disorder is killing me :(

76 - 82

Active heart rate

Your heart rate and blood pressure look good. EKGs are not precise. One showed my son was having a heart attack at age 9. After further testing we found out his heart is not located where mosts are. It is shifted to the left and it was healthy. So anything showing up on an EKG should be taken as an opinion, not fact. Since you have had several recordings saying something abnormal it would be a good idea to get an echocardiogram and labs which can show disease, anatomy differences, inflammation, blockages. NEVER depend on age like so many doctors do. This is a big reason they miss things! Especially congenital (something someone is born with) or hereditary conditions. Your heart rate speeds up due to stress, anxiety, activity but high heart rate can also make you anxious

You mention that "This anxiety disorder is killing me."

Are you getting treatment for this and going to therapy?  If not, it could make a world of difference in your life.

If you are, then something is not working, and it is time to talk with your shrink about a change in treatment.

If you've had serial (more than two EKG's) with normal results it is an indicator that there nothing abnormal.  Your results may be landing within a range that is appropriate.  I would not let anyone discourage you from visiting emergency from having a chest pain.  However your EKG and Lab data seem to lie within normal.  If your have a family history of heart problems, you must discuss this with your physician.  Best of luck!

With a seemingly normal ECG and feeling good ( no chest discomfort) I would not worry and trust your GP and the hospital ECG's analysts.

I assume that there is some flaw in the auto diagnosis software. Programs always have bugs and your GP should feedback this to the manufacturer of the software, so they can make analyze the software and make small improvements.
