Cardiac

I'm 25 yrs old, male, with a high stress financial call center job. I am physically fit and work out regularly.  During the day, I'm experiencing occasional sharp, left side chest pain.  They go away at the end of the day after all the stressors are gone. This stress is not going to go away.  I will be checking in with the doc next week.  Any other advise?

This may also help to lower your stress level: Sharp, left sided chest pain is NOT indicative of a heart problem! That type of pain is due usually to muscle, cartiledge or ligament issues. Take care

I know the economical climate is bad around the world at the moment, but you seriously have to ask yourself is a company worth your death. At your age I too had a stressful job, I was solely in charge of over 100 users on a computer network in a company. The money was great and I thought I could handle the stress. WRONG, by the age of 47 I had my first heart attack.
IF there is no way you can change jobs, then take other measures. Firstly, make sure you relax from the moment you leave the office, put work behind you and forget it until the next day. Buy a portable blood pressure monitor and test yourself a few times during the day. If it's high, see your Doc. Blood pressure meds can be taken in the morning if necessary and they will gradually ease off through the day. Eat healthily, lots of fruit and veg to take away the toxins caused by stress. Make sure you exercise as much as possible. Have a blood test to check your cholesterol levels in the blood. If you do those things, then you will have a fighting chance.

Yes stress can do that. “Any other advice?” you ask. Change your job, it must be awful. For some people it might be OK. I know I would hate it.
So many other field where you can be happy relaxed and successful.
