mitral valve prolapse & alchohol

I am 31 years old, and recently diagnosed to have MVP, I just want to ask a doctor if it is ok to drink beer (half litre) once a week , I wouldnt face any problem?

Some MVP people find it hard to tolerate alcohol, but if you are not intolerant then that amount a week wouldn't do you any harm at all. In fact if anything it would probably help because the biggest problem with MVP patients is falling into the trap of fear and depression(MVPSyndrome). Obviously if you are on any medication, read the leaflets to ensure none of them say avoid alcohol.
