internal defibrillator

I had a heart attack which caused significant heart damage so I had an internal defibrillator placed about 2 weeks ago. I am so miserable. It still hurts, I can't sleep because I can only lay flat on my back and I sleep on my side, the pain meds help for a while but not long, I still can't hardly use my left arm. My Dr. doesn't return my calls. I am wondering if anyone has ever had this device removed? Because that is what I want to do. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions to share?
