In a nutshell - yes. Any kind of stress, whether physical or emotional, can increase PVC's. Illness, exercise, heat/cold or emotional distress puts a strain on the body and may increase the PVC's. As I sit here my heart is "skipping" every 10 beats or so but that's normal for me. But if I run downstairs with a load of laundry or if I spend time with my parents who argue a lot my heart will act up even more. See what I mean? Take care and hope you feel better soon.
Thank you for responding.
yes.. it is also not uncommon to have tachycardia as well.. When i had the stomach flu my heart rate was 140 for three days... It was hard to deal with at first, but eventually the flu won, i slept on and off for two days, and woke up good as new :) feel better! If you have a headcold, the decongestants can also cause tachycardia and pvc's, so make sure you check with your doctor about what to take.
I don't know if it's "normal," but it sure as heck happens to me! I get several PVCs when I have a cold/the flu, whereas when I'm healthy I get almost none. This is despite beta blockers.
I agree. I had a mild cold last week and had an increase in pvcs and actually had two nights I woke up with increased heart rate. All seems better now. At least they're not as frequent and my heart rate is back to normal.

Yes, I have the same thing happen when I'm ill and I will also get runs of tachycardia.
