hiya im 32 years old and suffer from health anxiety im petrified something is wrong with my heart. some idiot has jus told me i might have a heart defect and should go and demand a scan - im completly freakin out,
a few years ago i had a 24hr monitor and stress test since i have had numerous ECG`s and blood pressure readings. are these tests reliable? would they have detected any abnormalities? please help im so frightened right now

Look at my post I just posted.  I have been experiencing the same symptoms as you.  I have been to numerous doctors, had numerous tests and they can't find anything.  They are now thinking I have a problem in my back/neck and they are sending me for a total body bone scan and MRI of my neck.  It is so hard not to think it is your heart when everything that you read points to your heart.

I was just at my cardio on Friday and when I told him of my fears since it is all on my left side he told me, "there are lots of things that can cause left side pain" but didn't really tell me what these things are.  I got a handshake and said come see me again in 6 months.  This is now my 3rd cardiologist in 2 years and I am thinking about going to get a 4th opinion now after that comment.

hi i have had chest pains for 10yrs on and off, somedays i dont have any symptoms at all others its terrible i can have pain that radiates down my left arm, my doc gave me the tests cause i was complaining of these symptoms all the tests were normal and my B.P is fine.
it never entered my head that something could av bin missed until someone on the anxiety forum mentioned it, so its freaked me out i have promised my therapist i will not visit anywere medical about my heart BUT now i cant get this out of my head, i was diagnosed with ectopic heartbeats which the doc said isnt dangerous

What are  yuor symtons, what was the reason  yuo had  EKG/ and where all the ekgs  normal and blood pressure.normal
are yuo short of breath ,or chest pain.Your dr. wont ordr a scan of your heart with out good reason, and ost likely send you to a cardoligis first any way.No test is, will detact every thing.
