I when for a stress test and found out today that they say I have mild hypokinesis of the inferior and mid to basolateral walls of the left ventricl, with decreased thickening noted in the inferior and inferoseptal walls as the basolateral wall. The Left ventricular ejection is borderline low at 49%. The left ventricular end-systolic volume is normal at 45 ml. (what) I am 37 years old have allways been in good helth and i went in becuase evertime i sat down i would go to sleep. Can someone please tell me what all this means?

Did anyone tell you that all or part of this info could be totally wrong? If not, they done you a great disservice. Stress tests are basically used to determine if you have proper perfusion (blood flow) to your heart muscle. Was anything mentioned about ischemia (lack of blood flow)?

Sorry for all the bad news,

Jack

The hypokinesis means you have abnormalities in wall motion of the left ventricle. Coronary artery disease or any number of things could cause this. If you have no symptoms like shortness of breath on walking stairs or other minor exertion then it would  seem that your overall heart function is still pretty good. Fatigue is a classic symptom with many heart related problems. Are you on any meds that might be adding to the fatigue?
