significance/elevated AP

I have a history of breast cancer (4th stage) and am in remission for last 14 years  My doctor has ordered a sonogram of the abdominal area after an elevation of AP in the blood chemicals
What is this possibly an indicator of

I couldn't find an AP test but there is an ALP test often used to check for liver function. Could that possibly be it? I'm familiar with CA 125 testing used for ovarian cancer but that's not even close to AP or ALP.
