strange heartbeats at 20

hi to all. i am 20 years old and had a baby a year ago. i am writing because i cannot afford a dr but i am super worried. my heartbeat is very irregular at times. sometimes it feels like it stopps beating and sometimes it just feels fluttery. should i worry? any help would be great! also, i havent had a period in 5 months. i took 2 preg tests that were positive but the following ones(doctor and at home) were negative.  strange. but if anyone knows anything about this please feel free to chip in info. love you all, amber

that i dont really know, you really need to talk to your dr.....one thing though, my daughter has slight ( borderline low thyroid) since she was about 12 or so..she had a baby 3 monthes ago even though her periods have always been irregular and skipped, she did have to go on synthroid while she was pregnant but is now off of it now..take of yourself and get tested!

i'm not a dr but it sounds like you may have a thyroid problem, this can happen from pregnancy, my friend started having heart palpitations after she gave birth and missed periods, she was diagnosed with low thyroid or maybe it was high thyroid.....either way it would'nt hurt to get your thyroid levels checked---also if you are breast feeding, you dont get aperiod sometimes for a whole year after having a baby and your hormone levels are all out of whack for awhile too, which can cause palps and missed periods too...
