I think Gaaz means that he/she has read that you can have AF with a reasonable heart rate.  This is true but it would be in someone who is being treated with medication to control the rate.  And the rhythm would be very irregularly irregular.  Not everyone  with controlled AF  has symptoms either.  Not all notice the lack of atrial *kick*.  I would imagine that most do though!  Having had both extremely rapid AF (238), controlled AF, and very frequent PVC's and PAC's, I can tell you that it is not that simple to distinguish between the controlled AF and the frequent PCV/PAC's without a strip.  I was very surprised at that.  At any rate, I don't know why people worry about stuff they don't have!  Life is too short.........

120 would not be afib, and if this is the fastest heart rate you're having, feel blessed.. Thats very good. Some peoples everyday heart rate is consistantly 120 or above. ask your doctor for an event monitor if you havent already had one

Atrial fibrillation is typically a very fast rhythm.  You would either feel palpitations or some other symptoms, such as weakness, dizziness or possibly fainting.

Please try to stop worrying so much.  I had atrial fibrillation 8 months ago and believe me there will be NO DOUBT IN YOUR MIND if you are having afib! Your heart will gallup like a horse off to the races.  How many palpitations are you having?
