Just a note to thank everyone who was so kind and answered my questions over the past 4 months! My daughter developed idiopathic PVC's in late August. She experienced more than 30,000 in a 24 hour period that were consistent. Her first ablation on October 16th was not successful, but on November 23rd the second try was a huge success! Dr. Passman at Northwestern University in Chicago did a remap and found a point at about 3 o'clock near the mitral valve and ablated 3 times. The PVC's disappeared completely in an instant and she hasn't had any since. This second procedure was completed with no anethesia at all, only numbing solution in her groin where the veins were cut to allow the catheters to be inserted. The techs and nurses were awesome, trying to keep her talking and her mind off the procedure and pain involved. What a miracle this procedure was for Meg.
