Ablation procedure

I guess its kinda a question but also a "thank you" to those posts I have read about your own "Ablation for atril fib".

I have mine scheduled for June 2, and I have not been able to sleep a full nights rest in about 3 weeks, ever since my doctor told me the procedure date.

I have googled and researched everywhere for pro's and con's.
I happend upon medhelp and found you all :)

You all answered my questions for pros and cons, the results and your own fears and tribulations, for that I thank each of you for sharing.
All of you have helped me in different ways, so I'm hoping to get some sleep tonight without the tossing and turning and worry.

I will post here after my procedure in hopes to offer someone else in my position now some peace of mind and assurances you can only get from someone who has been there and lived it.

Good to hear this forum has helped siddi! I know it was a heavensent for me after my ablation (and right before).
I just had mine less than 2 weeks ago so am unsure about the ultimate outcome (will I have to have another one, will my AF be okay without another one, etc). I do know that it was scary and after, there was an adjustment period. Someone on here referred to it as "transition" and that's what it is. Pre ablation and post ablation. I have slowed down and am taking better care of me. Maybe that was part of the lesson of AF and the ablation.
Know that we are with you, and like the others did with me, we will walk with you through the ablation and after.
Sleep good!
